I was out of ideas this morning and my sister suggested drawing something seasonal. We just got done with Halloween, Thanksgiving is coming up, and snow is beginning to fall signaling the start of the winter holiday season.
This morning I was contemplating what do draw. Recently I went for a beautiful fall walk and collected a number of beautiful leaves from the trees in the neighborhood. They each had a lovely and unique shape. They were all different colors.
Today’s doodles (yes, many of them!) were inspired by Zentangles. I was teaching a watercolor class last week, and I met a Zentangle instructor. Though I am not usually drawn to geometric patterns, I am always looking for ways to fill in curves and paisley shaped designs. Continue reading
This half moon shaped design was part of the pattern of one of my coloring book designs. I thought it could make a great scalloped border and can be filled in with a variety of patterns. It is simple, but fun! Continue reading
